The G2 Risk Management course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to carry out formal risk assessments within mining and high-risk environments. The course covers the process of identifying hazards, analysing and evaluating risks, and developing, implementing, and reviewing risk control measures in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.
This course is an industry-recognised qualification for those responsible for leading or participating in risk management processes under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.
Course Overview
The G2 Risk Management Refresher course is a nationally recognised refresher program designed for individuals who already hold the RIIRIS402E – Carry out the risk management process competency and are required to maintain their currency under mining and quarrying legislation.
This refresher ensures supervisors, managers, and key personnel remain current with contemporary risk management principles, legislative updates, and best practices across the resources and infrastructure sectors. It reinforces the skills required to identify, assess, and control risks in complex operational environments.
