OUR TRAINING

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to safely enter and work in confined spaces (e.g., tanks, pits, silos) across the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. Training covers planning, hazard identification, atmospheric monitoring, correct use of PPE, applying lock-out/tag-out procedures, and maintaining communication with a stand-by person as per the Confined Space Entry Permit.

This unit teaches the skills and knowledge needed to safely operate and maintain breathing apparatus in irrespirable or hazardous atmospheres. Training covers pre-donning checks, correct donning/doffing, monitoring air use, fault management, and concluding operations in line with procedures and standards.

The S11 Mining Induction Training, also known as the RIISS00034 Surface Coal Mine Safety Skill Set (Standard 11), is an industry-recognised safety and induction course required for individuals looking to work in Queensland’s surface coal mining sector. This comprehensive course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to work safely and effectively within a mining environment, meeting the regulatory requirements specified in Recognised Standard 11 under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999.
 

This unit provides the knowledge and skills required for schedulers, supervisors and transport managers to administer a fatigue risk management system (FRMS) in the heavy vehicle / logistics industry. Participants will learn to monitor compliance, implement fatigue policies, plan trips with work/rest considerations, and manage driver fatigue across the supply chain.

This unit develops the knowledge and skills required to apply fatigue risk management strategies in the transport and logistics industry. Participants will learn how to identify indicators of fatigue, implement strategies to mitigate fatigue risk, comply with work/rest requirements, and maintain accurate records in accordance with relevant legislation.

The G2 Risk Management course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to carry out formal risk assessments within mining and high-risk environments. The course covers the process of identifying hazards, analysing and evaluating risks, and developing, implementing, and reviewing risk control measures in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.

This course is an industry-recognised qualification for those responsible for leading or participating in risk management processes under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.

The G2 Risk Management course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to carry out formal risk assessments within mining and high-risk environments. The course covers the process of identifying hazards, analysing and evaluating risks, and developing, implementing, and reviewing risk control measures in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.

This course is an industry-recognised qualification for those responsible for leading or participating in risk management processes under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.

This unit addresses the legislative, regulatory, and operational responsibilities within the transport supply chain under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Participants will learn to identify, apply, and adhere to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, manage risks around vehicle mass, dimensions, fatigue, speed, load security, and report breaches according to workplace procedures.

This refresher course is designed for individuals who have previously completed their initial RIIWHS202E training and wish to update their skills and knowledge to meet current industry standards and legislative requirements. It revisits the key principles of entering and working safely in confined spaces, including hazard identification, entry procedures, the correct use of personal protective equipment and emergency response. Suitable for workers across construction, resources, utilities and manufacturing industries where confined space entry is a regular part of their role.
 

This refresher course is designed for individuals who have previously completed their initial MSMWHS217 training and wish to update their skills and knowledge to meet current industry standards and legislative requirements. It revisits the key principles of testing and monitoring workplace atmospheres, including identifying and controlling atmospheric hazards, the safe use and calibration of gas testing equipment, and implementing emergency response procedures. Suitable for workers across industries where gas atmosphere testing is a regular part of their role.
 

This nationally recognised unit provides the skills and knowledge required to monitor and implement safety obligations within the transport supply chain under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Participants learn how to identify and manage risks relating to fatigue, mass, load restraint, speed, and vehicle standards, ensuring compliance across all parties in the chain of responsibility.

The G189 Mine Supervisor course (also referred to as S123 or G1-G8-G9) prepares participants for supervisory roles in the mining industry under Queensland legislation. It develops competencies in risk management, safety investigations, and communication required to fulfill statutory obligations of mine supervisors.

This refresher training provides you with the opportunity to review and reinforce the skills and knowledge you have previously gained across three units of competency: 

RIIWHS202E (Enter and Work in Confined Spaces)
RIIWHS204E (Work Safely at Heights)
MSMWHS217 (Gas Test Atmospheres).

It is designed to ensure you remain competent, confident and aligned with current workplace procedures and regulatory requirements relevant to each of these high risk work activities. Throughout this training, you will revisit key safety principles including hazard identification, atmospheric testing, fall prevention and emergency response, confirm your practical capability, and be updated on any changes to legislation or industry standards applicable to these units.

The aim is to support you in maintaining consistent safe work practices across confined space entry, work at heights and gas atmosphere testing, and to meet the ongoing expectations of your role and your duty of care to yourself and those around you.

This skill set provides the essential competencies required to work safely in surface coal mining operations. Commonly referred to as the “S11 Induction”, this training is an industry requirement for individuals seeking to gain employment on a surface coal mine site in Queensland.

This refresher course is designed for individuals who have previously completed their initial RIIWHS204E training and wish to update their skills and knowledge to meet current industry standards and legislative requirements. It revisits the key principles of working safely at heights, including identifying fall hazards, selecting and using appropriate fall prevention and protection equipment, and implementing emergency response procedures. Suitable for workers across construction, resources, utilities and manufacturing industries where working at heights is a regular part of their role.
